Joining forces at our online media
skills workshop
Road Safety Support members from across the UK joined forces today at our first online Road Safety Media Skills Workshop.
Attendees from police forces in Durham, Cleveland, Kent, Greater Manchester, Hampshire, South Yorkshire and Transport for London attended the half-day event, which was held on Microsoft Teams.
The workshop, which was delivered by Jan Sjorup and Rebecca Morris from Road Safety Support, gave advice on how to promote messages effectively through the traditional news media and via social media platforms.
The interactive event focused on the important role of enforcement and communications in reducing road deaths, exploring marketing tactics and opportunities for joint working.
Attendees included experienced communications managers and those who are new to marketing.
Amy Westby, Communications Officer at South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership, said: "Thanks so much for the training - really enjoyed it and picked up loads of tips and ideas to feedback to the team."
